Red/White Week Details (as of 9-29-15)

Red/White Week Details 2015

October 16 - Friday
Decorating 2:30 - 10:00 p.m.
If interested in volunteering to help us decorate please contact Ms. Spiegelhalter or Mr. Morris in advance.  We are also in need of rolling scaffolding that we can borrow for the day.  If anyone has one please clearly label it and bring it to the back of the auditorium stage before Friday at 2:30.  Any snacks or drinks are also appreciated for the students.  Teenagers know how to eat!

October 19 - Monday
Pajama Day
Students and faculty are encouraged to dress in appropriate pajamas.

Ramstock
2:20 - 4:00 Manual Courtyard
Various student bands will perform in front of the student body and staff. There will be free popcorn provided by PTSA also Executive Council will be selling pizza and drinks. Other groups are welcome to sell or give away food.  After all the students bands perform the audience will vote on the best band for the winner of Ramstock 2015.  Rain out day is Thursday.

October 20 - Tuesday
Dynamic Duo Day
Students and faculty are encouraged to pair up and dress as their favorite duo.

October 21 - Wednesday
Class Theme Day
Students are encouraged to dress up in the theme of their grade level.  Themes are chosen by each grades' steering committee and will be promoted by their grades. 

Mini-Olympics 2:00 - 3:30 Large Gym and Courtyard
Manual students and staff will be able to have fun with henna tattoos, balloon artists, and a duck pond. There will also be a cotton candy machine, BBQ and other foods to purchase. In addition different Manual Clubs will have the opportunity to set up booths of their choice. Students from each class who have signed up early that week during lunch will participate in different competitions such as tug-o-war, relay races, and real life hungry, hungry hippos.  In addition the will be an Iron-Man-ual competition. 

Powder-Puff 5:00 Manual Stadium
All Manual students, staff, parents and friends of the players will watch the senior class take on the junior class in the annual rivalry game. 

October 22 - Thursday
Dooms Day
Students and Faculty are encouraged to wear all black to mourn the bulldog.

7:10 Burial of The Bulldog - In center hall
Manual students and staff will fill Main hallway starting at 6:50 a.m. Executive Council members will start the procession down to center hall at 7:10. There will be a short monologue by a selected staff member. The coffin will remain in center hall throughout the remainder of the day. Executive Council is responsible for clean up.

7:40 A.M Hush Tag Distribution
In first block hush tags will be given out by the teacher to the boys. The boys are not allowed to talk to girls during the school day. The only exception is that boys are allowed to say “Beat Male”. The girl with the most hush tags at the end of the day will win a gift card.  Teachers will be given specific directions and rules along with the hush tags.

October 23 - Friday
Spirit Day
Students and faculty are encouraged to where as much red and white as possible to show their Manual Pride!
