TRACK & FIELD - State Qualifiers

Here are our unofficial state qualifiers and their current state meet seeds. Official notification will come out later in the week. You qualify for state by either finishing top 2 at regionals or by being one of the 10 “wild cards” based upon the fastest 3^rd place and up times in all of the regions (totaling 24 competitors). Our boys and girls teams both finished 3^rd overall in the Region and should be very proud.

Boys

200m – Jordon Gonzalez – 3^rd - Regional Champ

400m – Jordon Gonzalez – 5^th - Regional Runner-Up

800m – Darius Payne – 6^th - Regional Runner-Up / Austin Snider 14^th

1600m – Reed McKinley – 17^th

3200m – Yared Nuguse – Seed TBD due to one more regional race on Sat. Morning

Long Jump – Trey Boyd – 7^th

4x100 – 13^th – Steven Gordon, Tim Comstock, Tyrone Howard, Trey Boyd, Geron Hurst – Regional Runners-Up

4x800 – 8th – Austin Snider, Reed McKinley, Cyrus Henry, Darius Payne, Clay Ellington, Chris Adams, Connor Gerhardt, Yared Nuguse – Regional Runners-Up

Girls

400m – Labreea Hall – 9^th

800m – Emma Kuntz – 5^th Regional Champ / Mattie Gottbrath 11^th Regional Runner-Up

1600m – Emma Dryden 14^th Regional Runner-Up / Danielle Kitchen 24^th

3200m – Christina Rucinski 6^th - Regional Champ

Long Jump – Aliyah Gant 22^nd

4x200 – 12^th – Mary King, Labreea Hall, Bria Steen, Tiye Gardner, Alari LaRue, Aliyah Gant

4x400 – TBD – Emma Kuntz, Labreea Hall, Mary King, Mattie Gottbrath, Danielle Kitchen, Tiye Gardner, Rachel Been, Emma Dryden

4x800 – 2^nd – Emma Kuntz, Rachel Been, Danielle Kitchen, Mattie Gottbrath, Labreea Hall, Emma Dryden, Danielle Graves, Allison Paxton – Regional Champs

These participants placed in the top six at regionals, scoring for their team, but did not qualify for state.

Boys

1600m – Clayton Ellington – 6^th

3200m – Chris Adams – 5^th

Girls

3200m – Sam Brenzel – 6^th (Sam missed State Qualifying by one second and was the last one out but ran a huge PR and an amazing race)

Discus – Laren Wunsch – 5^th

Shot Put – Tahlia Gore – 5^th
