SWIM & DIVE - Updated Regional Swim Meet Schedule

PLAN A:

Girls' prelims tomorrow - warm-ups at 11:00am, first race at noon, flyover starts (girls will finish by 4:00) Clear the stands and the deck of all swimmers and spectators - and no seat saving.

Boys' prelims tomorrow - warm-ups at 5:00pm, first race 6:00, flyover starts (boys will finish at 9:00) Finals Sunday - warm-ups at 10:00am first race 11:00 (this has been OKed)

PLAN B:

If the girls need to be cancelled in the morning (and this decision will be made by 8:00AM tomorrow), then we will still try to swim the Boys as scheduled with a 5:00pm warm-up and a 6:00 start.  This would become a timed finals.  Girls would then swim a timed final on Sunday with warm-ups at 10:00am, first race at 11:00.  We have talked with the necessary folks and basically if UL has their facilities open we will be able to swim.

PLAN C (worst case scenario):

Everything gets cancelled tomorrow.; swim everything on Sunday.  Girls warm-ups at 8:00am, first race 9:00, finished at 1:00.  Clear the pool (quickly!) and boys warm-up at 1:30, first race at 2:30.

The Manual vs. Male Basketball games and Senior Recognition Ceremony have been rescheduled for Sunday, February 16. See schedule below:

Girls Varsity - 3:30 pm

Boys Varsity - 5:00 pm

* Senior Recognition Ceremony for Cheer, Dance, Boys & Girls Basketball Teams will be held between the varsity games. 

Field Hockey Players Named to NFHCA National Academic Squad

Congratulations to our seniors this year for a terrific academic achievement.  The National Field Hockey Coaches’ Association named 12 of our graduating seniors to its High School National Academic Squad.

The 2013 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA High School National Academic Squad recognizes high school seniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 through the first quarter of the 2013-2014 school year. 

Four (*) were honored as Scholars of Distinction – meaning they had a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 through the first quarter of the 2013-2014 school year.

Kentucky One Health Sports Medicine Hosting Free Seminar on Knee Injury Prevention

On Saturday March 1st Kentucky One Health Sports Medicine will be hosting a free seminar on Knee Injury Prevention & The Athlete.  This event is open to the public and we encourage you to pass this brochure along to your coaches, student athletes, parents, and your booster clubs.   The seminar will be held from 9 am to 1 pm at Medical Center Northeast (Off Old Henry Road & the Gene Snyder).  Lunch and door prizes will be provided thanks our generous sponsors Swags Sports Shoes & Gould's Discount Medical.
